Our Story

How It Started

The company was started after the two directors were working together on renewable projects for a number of years and decided to set up a business as they felt they could offer customers a better service. Both directors have been in the industry for many years and provide customers with great energy saving advice, excellent customer service at competitive prices.

How It’s Going

The business has gone from strength to strength with the vast majority of our work coming from customer referrals. Each month proves to be busier than the last due to the dramatic rise in energy bills.

Pavlos Demetriou

Company Director

Pav and his business partner first Launched Future Proof Solar in 2021 after a 10 year career in electrical wholesaling, where he supplied other solar engineers and electricians with the materials required for their installations. Pav helps out in every department possible, be it sales, operations, or occasionally getting involved in installations! Pav is proud to have formed a team that all share his passion for hard work, customer satisfaction and teamwork. He says his biggest achievement so far is being part of a company that has helped over a thousand customers to reduce their electricity bills between 50-80% and also saving hundreds of tonnes of Carbon dioxide emissions per year in the process.

Away from his desk Pav loves nothing more than spending time with his family running around with his two young children (who keep him fit!). He also has a passion for motorbiking and occasionally playing snooker with friends.

John Longden

Company Director

John first started working in the renewable energy industry over 14 years ago before launching Future Proof Solar in 2021. John is very involved in the general day to day running of the business, ensuring key targets are met and all of our customers are happy with the service that they received. John’s greatest achievement is helping to create a business which has exceeded targets by providing an honest, reliable and professional service which receives fantastic customer reviews all-round. In his spare time you’ll find John out and about socialising or globe trotting!

Luke Sims

Operations Manager

Luke has worked in customer service for over 12 years and has always had a passion for technology.

His main role involves overlooking and managing the day to day running of the installations for each job, from organising and ordering materials needed, scheduling the teams and attending the installations when needed. Luke is truly the brains behind the monitoring app, and eduages our customers on how their whole system works and how to get the most out of their new system. He says his favorite thing about working here is that everyone is so supportive and willing to help each other. (The monthly meeting cakes also go down a treat!) His greatest achievement is becoming the ‘technical master’ within the company. From plugging in printer’s to full system software and cable work. He’s a man of many talents!

When he isn’t behind his desk, you will find him spending time making memories with his wonderful family. He’s also a keen fisherman, and loves to watch and engage in motorsports. Baking is also a hobby of his – so great british bake off watch this space!!

Laura Cresswell

Head of Accounts & HR

Laura is the queen of numbers here at Future Proof Solar! She is responsible for all things accounts, invoicing and payroll related. Laura says ‘’my favorite thing about working here is the great team I work alongside, everyone is so supportive and always willing to help each other, and the office biscuits aren’t bad either!’’ When Laura isn’t sitting behind her desk, she’s usually running around as a busy mum to her 2 amazing children. (aka – professional plate spinner!!) You’ll find her on the school run, in play areas, and anywhere that’s family friendly to explore! Family time is her favorite time, and there’s nothing she loves more than making memories.

Liam Straw

Sales Manager

Liam started working for Future Proof Solar in March 2022. With a passion for renewable energy, Liam plays a vital role in helping customers to create a much more sustainable way of living with the use of solar power. He says his favorite part of working here is being a part of a great team, and getting to chat to customers on a day to day basis. One of Liam’s biggest achievements is buying his beloved sausage dog! In his spare time he can be found watching or playing football, or taking his dog for a stroll!

Zara Grundy

Marketing Manager

Zara is qualified in both Business Studies and Digital Marketing, and joined Future Proof solar in 2022. Her main roles and responsibilities include the development of the overall marketing strategy here at Future Proof Solar, which includes paid marketing campaigns, social media marketing, graphic design and much much more! She says her favorite thing about working here is the relationships she’s developed with her teammates who trust and support one another. In her spare time, our social butterfly loves spending time with her lovely family and friends, traveling and keeping busy. She’s also a keen gym-goer!

Corey Price

Solar PV Installer

Since leaving school many moons ago, Corey has always been involved in hands-on jobs within the renewable energy field! His main responsibilities include customer satisfaction, ensuring a smooth installation process from start to finish. The safety of himself, customers & colleagues whilst on the roof. Answering any queries and questions from customers, and maintaining high levels of accuracy throughout the install process, (oh and he’s the top biscuit taster in the office!) Corey’s favorite part of working here is working with a team that shares the same values and work ethic, he says this makes the team work like a dream! He also says the endless cups of teas our customers make him are a big bonus (milk, 2 sugars!). Corey’s greatest achievement is completing 144 panels on one of our biggest jobs to date.

In his spare time he likes to spend time with his two children who keep him very busy! He also enjoys bike riding to new places, and his favorite pastime is… eating out!!

Kirsten Scott

Digital Marketing Manager

Since graduating in Marketing Management our Marketeer Kirsten gained a breadth of experience in a number of fields prior to joining the team. Her main responsibilities include social media content, copywriting, visiting customers to film content, and more! Kirsten is a keen coffee lover and has quickly become top brew-maker for the office team and is always up for a sweet treat throughout the day! She says the best part about her role so far is the fab team she works with, and describes the company as ‘fun’ ‘engaging’ and ‘diverse’!

In her spare time, she rarely sits down. She can be found either working her second job, or her all time fave, spending time with her lovely friends and family. She’s also a keen traveler, and usually gets up to something daring whilst she’s away, such as skydiving, learning how to scuba dive, ski or surf!
